Fabric Covered Button Fun

Today we took a trip to a brand new Hobby Lobby store about 45 minutes from where we live. My goodness, that store is huge! I had a great time wandering the aisles and checking out their amazing selection of craft supplies.

As I was browsing the jewelry section I came across the bezel bracelets and remembered seeing a super cute tutorial on The Mother Huddle that used them to make fabric covered button bracelets. I picked one up and whipped up my own bracelet this evening. It was fun to choose fabrics from my stash to use and I love the abstract look of each button.

Destri's bracelet tutorial is wonderful, you can follow her steps here to make your own fabric covered button bracelet. I'm thinking the same technique could also be used to make a really fun necklace if the links from a few bracelets were connected...perhaps a future project. :)
