Down South

Last weekend I took a trip to Georgia to visit my brother who is going to grad school there. We had a really fun weekend, taking in the sights and eating delicious food. I even managed to get in a bit of fabric shopping! I thought you might enjoy some photos from the trip...

The first day I was there, we toured Savannah. If you've never been to Savannah before, I highly recommend it. It's a really beautiful, historic southern town with a lot of charm. The architecture is gorgeous, below are a couple photos of some of the famous ironwork which adorns many of the buildings.

You know you're in the south when...

We stopped at Jere's Antiques. They had the largest selection of antique furniture I've ever seen. This is only a portion of their chair section...

My brother treated me to some gourmet pizza. He has a special dough and sauce recipe that he has perfected, it was DELICIOUS!!!

The second day of my trip, we toured the town where my brother lives and he showed me around his university. Brent is an MFA student with an emphasis in 3D design. Here's a peek into his studio space at school...

Such a fun trip!

  3. I lived in Savannah for a year in 2004 - I still dream of returning. The architecture, history and SCAD combine for amazing energy there. You must go back for a least a week and stay at Armstrong Properties Bed and Breakfast. Tell Monique that Jackie sent you!
